A lifetime of experiences of stories and experiences have shaped him into the jewel that he is!

Through our writing our lines crossed here in Emerald City! He found a place in my heart because of our synchronicity.

An alchemist like me, he has a rich lifetime of stories he shares with the world! One story in particular touched me most.

Recently at the 97th birthday soirée he shared a story about his honeymoon. He met his sweetheart whilst in Massachusetts. They took. A trip to NYC. They met Judy Garland at a Glenn Miller show. She gifted him tickets to see the Wizard of Oz .

The day of his birthday is my cousin Claudia’s birthday. In her senior year of high school she lived with my maternal grandmother in Chelsea,Massachusetts. “Babci “ was the food manager at Naval Hospital.

Claudia played Dorothy in. “Wizard of Oz”She is a chemistry teacher and a poet.

As Coronado residents we are all familiar with the fact Frank Baum authored of “Wizard ofOz” while he lived in a house on Star Park. The Hotel Del was Emerald City in the movie.

I wrote a poem. “San Diego-Emerald City” that was in 2019 San Diego Poetry Annual.

I love the way our stories intersected and feel blessed by the power of his storytelling!
