Like stone

The philosopher’s stone, a fable from the past that deeply influenced my life.

The Alchemists looking to purify metals into gold, purifying themselves in the process with help from that magical stone.

The search for the unusual and the arcane, has been a driving force in my world since childhood. My fascination with stones and the memories of playing with them out in the wilderness. The beauty of watching the mason fit the stones into the wall or observing the patterns I would see within.

When I read the following statement it resonated at the deepest level, I felt like stone.

“ Through pressure the Earth began to form heavy minerals and the were forced into the core, where they were trapped. The outer exerted pressure on the inner core, creating waves of heat and movement with pressure. With time they made their way to the surface’.

Can be reference for those children trapped in that cave that slowly had to come out one by one with assistance, and the fact its like our very hidden patterns, that slowly come to the surface to be redone with the energy used for something that serves us better. In some ways, being part of the very earth, we are like stone.
