Wear the Uniform
Wear the uniform and many images come to mind. There are so many versions to consider. When you see one, please do remember to be kind.
Growing up I went to a Catholic school, wearing one was a tool to keep us all free from vice, and socio-economic pressure to wear cool clothes, but to be respectful and be nice.
Later I worked with radiation and to be aware of safety, the uniform of coats, gloves, and goggles were worn instead of trying to be sure to be dainty!
Different cultures have an unadvertised” uniform” one must wear to conform. Work styles differ from place to place, and if they don't like what you wear you might be put in the files. Uniforms define functions: doctors, postmen, delivery folks clothing that we can easily recognize their function.
The uniform that means the most is that of our first responders: the police, the fire crews, and the like, wear certain uniforms that help them do their work. Teams rush into danger selflessly whether it's a foe, a fire or you get lost on your hike!
The uniform that exemplifies our nation best, is that of our military forces. Wearing with honor, the hat, the shoes, the vest. They wear this symbolism for our safety in our world and we are truly blessed!
With honor and courage, they wear the uniform. They are on a mission to defend our country with might on land, on sea, or on planes. Fully understanding they may not ever come home again.
On this Memorial Day let us remember all those who wore the uniform for our freedom and gave the greatest sacrifice. Our freedom paid with the cost of so many lives that were lost.
